The idea of this book, is to use a computer to calculate a load for the highest velocity with the lightest bullet in each caliber, in as many cartridges as possible, using Accurate powders. To that end, it does do a good job, but remember these are computer generated loads, not actual loads, and not fired through actual firearms. Also be aware, some of the listed loads are over the maximum pressures listed as safe for that cartridge, with pressures, recoil, velocity, recommended size of game (in pounds), along with pretty much everything else you would ever want/need listed as well, but usually only of interest to gun nerds and fanatics. While this book is interesting to gun nuts and ballistic nerds, of which I am both, I really can not see any real world use for this book. It is limited to the lightest bullet in each caliber, at the highest possible velocity (speed), with only one brand of powder. As an interesting study in ballistics, yes, it has it's place, and as a labor of love it is amazing what can be done, but for real world shooting and hunting applications? I just don't see it. An interesting book for what can be done in theory, but of extremely limited use for any real life shooting.Read full review
