Unfortunately I recently had to get rid of my Cuisinart processor - it finally died in me - and acquired a POS Hamilton Beach as a "gift" - of which I will not be comparing either the Kitchenaid or Cuisinart to. The Cuisinart was the first processor I ever owned and I had it since 1995. It took all I put it through for 20 years and never let me down. Until it died, it had kick ass horse power and an incredibly strong blade that never dulled, EVERY part of it was still in like new condition. I've been searching for 6 months for a replacement and came across an appliance review from Americas Test Kitchen which rated this top pick and preferred, as well as researching MANY different brands, models & styles after reading the description of the KFP750 by them, I went on the hunt for one. Bought this on ebay, opened it the day I got it and put it to my tests. It preformed every bit as good as my Cuisinart at every task AND is MUCH QUIETER!! I ordered the optional wide mouth lid, the optional disc(s) set, an extra mini work bowl and extra blades. The extra blades I ordered because, maybe - and even hopefully - I'm wrong about them, but the blades of this v.s. the Cuisinart are a lot flimsier and serrated and I don't have a whole lot of faith that they'll last. Glad I was able to find this.Read full review

We have had the Kitchenaid processor for about two months now and have use it to slice, shred, chop and grind many items with no issues. We mainly purchased the item to shred cheese, we did 10 pounds in minutes without slowing the unit at all, very strong. The processor easily assemblies and to be cleaned. It is very strong and appears to be very well built. The only issue it is heavy. My wife has some problems removing and putting it back on the storage shelf. In a way this helps to prove how well it is built. I would recommend this product to anyone. SKIP
This food processor is a wonderful kitchen helper. I have pain in my wrists and cannot do the cutting and chopping like I used to. I can make a large batch of coleslaw in five minutes. We have large family gatherings and I'm glad to be able to do so many tasks effortlessly. What's great is that I don't have to give up making the foods I love because of physical restrictions. It's like having a second pair of hands in the kitchen.
Parts of my trusty (and refurbished) Kitchenaid KP750 food processor were lost in a move, including the motor base. Its replacement was redesigned, and just made me miss my old one even more! But now, I'm chopping, slicing, shredding, etc., with abandon. This model is a joy to use.

The CON: It cannot go into the dishwasher. It has to be washed by hand. Also I wish they had one made out of glass instead of plastic. The pros: it does what it is intended to and it does well.
