I have owed one of these for 5 years. I use it about 10 times a year. Recently I noticed the blades were getting stiff and difficult to move. This is when I learned they are non-replaceable. You have to replace the entire Jar to get new blades. The jar can cost between $40 and $80, depending on where you buy it. A temporary solution is to soak the blades overnight in mineral oil. This will make them much more movable. But, don't bother with any of this! Don't buy a Kitchenaid! I am going to replace mine with a Ninja! Any Kitchenaid Jar/pitcher with non-removable blades, (like the one above) can be identified from the fact that the jar base is not removable! It can not be unscrewed. The blades may look removable, but they are not!

We have multiple furnished high-end rental properties, and we have one of these KitchenAid models in each plus in our own home. The KSB560OB is reliable, durable, and attractive. It does everything it's advertised to do and does it as well or better than more expensive brands and models.
Good blender but I returned it because they sent the wrong color.
