I have owned three of them . Bought my first one in 2000. Had to sell it due to loss of employment. When I first got my ham license, I thought it would never be possible for me to own one as I thought amateur radio was a rich mans hobby. I bought it anyway. The Receive through my A-99 was Unbelievable. From the AM Broadcast band all the way through 70 CM I would loose my self in the SW bands. So much to listen two. The second one I bought in 2005. My wife became disabled and again the Radio kept it's resale value! The third I bought in 2012 and still own. Considering buying a second for a Mobile rig and camping. I have owned many radios over the years only to just want the TS200 back. With a Hiel GM 5 People always complimented me on ten, & twenty meters asking how much power I was running. Never needed an Amp. Several thought I was lying when I told them I was only running 100 watts. On Two meter Weather nets , with the dual band operation at 100 watts , very useful. I am not a Computer guy, but it has many capabilities for packet and Satellite including Doppler shift adjustment. I know I will buy more radios in the future, like Icom and Yeasu, ten-tec, as that's what hams do but this will always be THE radio!Read full review

I received this radio in excellent condition. No scratches or dents or rust. Very clean , it came triple boxed and insured. Absolutely no issues every button and dial works, for a used radio it looks new. I think it's a few years old, just did a 2015 firmware update .The last firmware date was 2012. Very happy with this radio and this purchase.

I decided to upgrade from an Icom IC-7000 to the TS-2000 for many reasons, great reviews by QST and lots of input from TS-2000 owners. Great radio with lots of features.

I don't have much more to say. The TS-2000 is just a fantastic rig. SOOOO much capability. Basic usage is simple to figure out... MANY advanced features are a short manual/Google visit away. TONS of users out there to help you. I have transmitted on the wrong band at 100W more times than I can count and it hasnt blown the finals...! Its just a really nice radio for the price and the features. And Kenwood makes GREAT products!! 73 de K9SPY
