I've been using Kenwood for my car-audio needs since buying my first car in '98 and I bought this as a replacement to the prior one I owned. I like the 215S because it's cheap, gets the job done, and has a clock on it. I've had a 215S in the Miata for ages because of those reasons. Cheap makes it less appealing to be stolen, given it's installed in a convertible. The clock is nice, since early Miata's don't have one, anywhere!? I have had issues with their amps burning out, but again, I'm driving a convertible and have the top down whenever the weather allows - so needless to say, it's cranked quite often. (and I really should have an aftermarket amp because of it, so no real fault to the Kenwood unit) Again though, they're cheap, so if it dies I can snag another here. Of course the detachable face is a plus. Most times I leave it mounted, but if I'm in a big city, I can pop it off & reduce the chances of theft a bit. Oh yeah, I had my original for 7 years before the amp burned out, all of which was spent in the Miata.. Mason HolmesRead full review
