Im a big fan of KMC chains on my Campagnolo equipped bike. The missing link, which is common on that brand of chain, can be used on a Campagnolo brand chain without having to purchase a specific pin press tool from Campagnolo either. Seems to work flawlessly and is a breeze to install/uninstall.

The previous versions were reusable (10 speed and lower). This one is use once. I like to clean my chain off the bike, which requires breaking the chain. But if I need to use a new one of these each time I clean the chain, the cost is way too high. Pins are less expensive, so maybe if you are worried about your ability to use a chain pin tool, this is good. Great for carrying one in the bike bag for field repairs... But there exists a version of this from a different company that is reusable. It's "expensive" but not after 3 cleanings. Hard to get (it's from Europe), but I've ordered one...

KMC has always made good chains and are completely compatible with most systems. This item is no different. With the right tool it is easy to remove and install these links. The problem I have with the 11 speed vs other versions I've used is that these are recommended not to be reused. All the other speeds missing links are re-usable. For what they are they are a little pricey especially for someone who maintains their chain on a regular basis. I also have some in gold color that allows easier identification of the location of the link. In an emergency I did reuse one, with no issues, so theoretically they can be reused. But I did not want to take the risk, so replaced it as soon as feasible. Never had one of these come apart on me or break, so still give these a big thumbs up.

KMC Chains have been on all our Bikes- Road, Mountain, CX, TT, Track, BMX for years. We've never had a negative experience. Our Specialized Epic Mountain bikes have a special Chain Tool and stand-by Quick Link Storage in the Steer Tube for unforeseen chain break repairs. That's what we got these spares for. Although, I've yet to experience a break, I wamt to be prepared 😁

I bought this as a spare to take with me on trips. With any luck I'll never need to use it - like a spare tire. Shipping was prompt and the link appears to be of quality.
