I am taking a Hatha Yoga class at my college and this book was suggested. It is very easy to use and has valuable information about the basics of yoga and several suggestions that help modify yoga so an individual is comfortable with incorporating it into their own lives. It is very simple, as thorough as it needs to be, and it has many pictured examples of the various positions. I found it very helpful as a beginner.
It is a book I needed for school. It is interesting and a good book to have on hand. It is insightful on the history of yoga.
