The talent was there, the idea was there - they just didn't quite drive it home. Personally, I feel the writing could have been a bit better - the villains had way too much screen time and there were a few loose ends. BUT, the action was great - the cast really outdid themselves and must have trained hard to give us such grand fight scenes. I expected this drama to be darker and more violent than any previous k-drama I'd watched. It was, yes, but not to the degree that I expected. Certainly not for kids but I don't think Captain America 3 was any lighter than this series. Ji Chang Wook is such a fantastic actor - he and Yoona are the reason I watched this. I absolutely adored their scenes together but wish there had been more. I have read some negative reviews about Yoona's acting but I totally disagree with them. I've seen at least 4 of her dramas and I love what she brings to each character. This was no easy role to portray and she brought 100% effort to the table and creamed it. She left this viewer convinced of the character's dilemma and caring what happened to her. Overall, if you don't mind a dash of negative content (language, violence/blood, sensuality, wicked schemes), I think you'll enjoy Ji Chang Wook and Yoona's respective journies and an epic climax with some REALLY unexpected turns and surprises. Unpredicably enjoyable!Read full review
