I have always been curious about the mind that made up the Sherlock Holmes stories. Now through this book I find out he had much more imagination than I ever thought by all the other books and stories he wrote. I had no idea. He was a man of principle and integrity. I loved the illustrations and the photographs. I only wish there would have been a bibliography included. The only downside to the book was that some of the English terms were not easy to follow. I found that I couldn't read it in one sitting. I read it over a period of days in which I read other books. But all in all, it was an excellent book. It draws you in to the happenings in his life.
Arthur Conan Doyle, even as a very young lad, was a mighty fine writer; and the editor-annotators of his letters are uber-helpful. An incredibly interesting life was led by Conan Doyle.
