This is truely a great album. Rarely do three musicians of this caliber come together and record. Johnny Griffin, Hank Mobley and John Coltrane were some three of the most renowned saxophonists of their time and this album is a great representation of their differences and abilities. For the jazz musician, this is a must. The blowing over All the Things You Are is nothing short of amazing. Especially with regard to ii-V7-I patterns. The rest of the album should be held is just as high a regard. For the jazz enthusiast, you have stumbled onto a treasure. This album is not as publicized as it should be. The expression of the three musicians combined here is a great find. The album received a 4 out of 5 because a perfect score would mean that any person, regardless of knowledge level and musical preference, would enjoy this album. This is an amazing recording for "jazz" people, but will not be attractive to others. The album is very much worth buying. You will not be disappointed.Read full review
