I know that '5 stars' seems easy to get these days, but try to accept, that from me, it is a different matter(just ask my kids). Having said that, I will admit that this album has some undeniable prejudice from me. Simply put, it was the first record album that I ever owned. It was given to me by a good friend. I was 10. Now, because of my attachment to this album, I also have high expectations. So if there is any edginess, or grit on the remaster, I would be the first one to know. This recording is flawless as referred to the original. And when SACD is done right, there is bound to be more information worth retrieving. That is exactly the case here. As though someone loved this recording as much as myself, it comes clean, with lucidness and new detail. It is worth mentioning that the album was shipped quickly, with no hassel, again, someone that I would readily mention if that were not the case. There you have it, yes I would do it again and be happy.Read full review
I bought this SACD so that I could check out the capabilities of my new receiver. I have to admit, I am pretty impressed. You can actually hear the timbre in the piano strings during 'Take Me to the Pilot'. The fact that it is a hybrid only sweetens the deal. It is nice to be able to play the CD in other sources. I can't say that the SACD sounds any better than DVD-audio or (my favorite) DTS Audio. But is is pretty impressive. A nice title to have when you want to show off the capabilities of your home system.
love this album ..Elton's first and he was so good on this.

One of the best 5.1 SACD mixes I've ever heard. HIGHLY recommended.
