It's interesting to read someone else's journey thru Celiac disease. I am self-diagnosed since I had no insurance (not an official diagnosis, I know) but I have all the symptoms of the disorder. Anyway, I had no idea how severe the disease could be. I knew that it affects your ability to absorb vitamins since your digestive tract is messed up by gluten, but I didn't know it caused anxiety attacks or the enzyme, L-glutamine, to be affected. Jennifer is most insightful on her journey and I commend her for her honesty and her unwillingness to give in to the doctors who told her she must have a mental disorder (she was committed to the psych ward, which must have been incredibly frightening). I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
