A fun movie for adults and kids. Can't beat Abbott and Costello combined with the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. A little trivial note, the giant is the father of Jethro from the original Beverly Hillbillies

This print of Jack and the Beanstalk on Goodtimes DVD is excellent. I think it's the best public domain DVD of this title available. I picked it up for one dollar plus shipping and that was a real bargain. The movie starts in a nice sepia tone as released and then changes to color, a obvious attempt to recoup the magic of The Wizard of Oz. The story is fun and Abbott and Costello are up to their usual tricks. A fun romp for the entire family. Nothing her to embarass anyone. Good clean family fare. The color on this DVD is nice also. It's not technicolor, it's Cinecolor. The colors are just a tad softer than Technicolor, just as it was released. It works nicely for this little fairy tale.

Good movie from childhood...fun...transfer ok but seems source material is missing frames in places so there is some jerky movement in a few spots. Overall good though.
