Great movie about a great man
Shows some of what he went through coming up in the Majors. I watched this about 3 years ago and ended up buying it here on Ebay as a gift to my husband because he loves sports and anything about sports. If you are the type of person who is hateful towards racism instead of understanding that being racist takes being very ignorant and scared of the unknown, you won't want to watch this and shouldn't until you develop more as an individual and mature. However if you are an individual like myself who doesn't see people for the color they are or become angry at racism but sad that they are so confused and misguided along with ignorance...you will enjoy seeing a strong black man get through his trials and tribulations while becoming one of the greatest Major League Baseball ... I bought this for my 10 year old grandson to watch. I enjoyed this movie as a young teenager and with all of the hoopla regarding the 60th annivesary of Jackie Robinson came to the major league which my grandson was quite aware of. I thought the two of us would watch this together. We did and it was a very special moment in our relationship.

This was a great deal on a hard to find movie!My sons love baseball history and came acrossthe end of this movie on a sports channel. I thought I'd just pick it up at a local movie rental so they could see it in it's entirety...no luck. Thanks so much for having this baseball clasic!
