I started getting interested in knives so I have researched and looked through both internet and shops. There are so many with variety of types and price. J.A. Henckels is certainly a good brand and cheaper compared to other brands, especially buying from eBay.

The page and experience were good until I received the knife and found that it is NOT as heavy as the one I was replacing (i.e. it is lower quality): lighter weight, thinner blade. i have had my set of four star knives for YEARS and was hoping this one would be as nice. Your ad page says: Over 32 million FOUR STAR knives have been sold to date. And we haven't changed a thing to this day – because there's nothing to improve. Hooey. The knife is nice but NOT AS NICE as the ones I have had for many years. PS The lighter weight makes it feel relatively cheaper than expected, and not as nice as the one I am replacing

A razor sharp knife with great balance for general kitchen use. The blade depth allows me the room I need to keep my knuckles from hitting the cutting board while working with it.. Couldn't be happier with this knife, it is a great value for the money.

This knife is a home user must have! The Four star 7" Chef knife it has a simple look however it is sharp as Hell, reliable, easy to maintain and has a reasonable price tag for a top brand forged knife when on sale. It's (relatively) hard blade is really a jewel and slices threw hard food like butter. furthermore, it's middle size make it comfurtable for most users to use it as an allrounder knife enabling to manoeuvre even in tight spaces and little kitchens. it also barely needs sharpening maintenence when used in a privet home. However, please note that it is on the heavy side of knifes so if you prefer a light weight knife as a Global - this knife is not for you. The only weak spot it has is it's plastic handle tough it has a surprisingly nice feeling, since it is not as comfy as it's big brothers such as the "Pro" that has the same blade in a comfy design and a well made handle. However it's plastic handle does make it worry free from getting ruined in the kitchen... That said, I can't really think of a better value Chef Knife for the cost of $40 when on sale.
