The rotten radio grinds to a halt and as it does a question is posed: Is This It? Answer: This IS IT!!! In 2001 The Strokes delivered an album that will carry you as it carried me, with them as they rode the waves of Raw Rock & Roll, across the vast ocean of fame and fortune. Fast, furious, syncopated, clean, driving, building, destroying, passionate, and purposeful, "up on a hill, here's where we begin... this little story a long time ago, stop to pretend, stop pretending, it seems this game is simply neverending..." sings Julian, lead singer of The Strokes. "It feels like nothing at all, except that maybe it is." After 5 years of rocking this album nearly every day, it hasn't grown a bit old, and I'm sure it likely never will. When it comes on my IPOD during shuffle, it still makes me want to get up and shake my entire body in wild rebel rousing dance, it makes my lungs want to breath deeply and my voice to sing loudly along, my fingers to turn the speakers up to 11! If you have a 14 to 29 year old man in your life who likes to rock, this album is likely to fall perfectly upon his ears!Read full review
After hearing their great song "Last Nite" (and seeing the music video) I thought this album would be killer. But for me it was just a big letdown. Some of the songs had really nice beats but overall I just wasn't impressed.

Although the CD worked fine, the inside section which holds the CD in place was all broken, so I will have to get a replacement for the case. Still would recommend, with the heads-up that you may need to replace your case.
