This little guy is by no means king of the hill in Xenon CPU's speed wise. What it is good for is low power drawn and having good benchmark numbers at low power. It is a great replacement for any of the 55xx series Xenon's. It adds a bit more cache. faster RAM interface, and a few instruction set upgrades. The big concern with any CPU is - will it work? Those tiny little connections on the bottom are fairly easy to mess up. They are also ESD sensitive. Beware of CPU's shipped loose in a brown paper bag :) These came in a proper ESD box (not an envelope) and worked fine.

This CPU is very cheap, and it is still enough fast and really durable for server and everyday/work computers. I totally recommend this!

Dual L5630s @ 80W total, banging away HD resolution H.264, 24/7, without any hiccups! LoL! Can't ask for anything better!

LGA 1366 platform is some sort of epiphany for Intel. Broad compatibility, cheap processors (these days) and excellent overclockability. This L5630 is ideal for low-power, but powerful appliances, like pfSense routets, NAS, etc. Two of these now running my home server with serious hardware controller (3Ware) and 10G Ethernet connections (SFP+). Pair them with cheap AC Freezer Pro 7 - and you are fully packed and ready to go!
