The Insignia NS-CNV20 is a fantastic GPS Receiver with the acuracry of the directions. The easy to use features make it easy to use. The drawbacks that I encountered were: 1. I could not find them in Best Buy (which is supposed to be the Carrier) 2. I went to Best Buy to find a Sim card for it, and no one seemed to know anything about it. 3. I asked about updating the maps, again nobody knew anything about that either. 5. I emailed insignia and asked them about getting a sim card and updating the maps, and was referred to the Geek Squard at Best Buy. It appears that I am not the only person to experience these problems with this band of GPS, getting a run-around with various issues concerning the GPS. I would be very reluctant to reccommend this GPS to others. Save your money and buy a more well known GPS, like TOM TOM, Garmin, Or Magellan. (Many of these models are coming down in price, and appear to be on sale often).Read full review
I used this navigator just enough to verify that it was working properly, then sold it. It's an upgrade from the NS-CNV10 model, with two noteworthy differences. The first difference is the wider screen. That's nice. The other difference is the Bluetooth capability. I didn't try to pair my phone with it, but presumably I could have done so. That would have allowed me to phone one of the points of interest without touching my phone and without keying in the phone number. I suppose it's useful to be able to do that, but I doubt that I would use that feature much. It would be helpful to have the hands-free operation mode via the navigator if you happen to have a phone that is Bluetooth enabled but lacks its own hands-free mode. There might be some old phones like that, but I doubt that there are any new models with that combination. For myself, I would be reluctant to pay the higher price to get the upgrades offered by this model. But if you look up points of interest frequently and often call to confirm hours of operation or to make reservations or whatever, then it would be worth the extra cost.Read full review
This is my second Insignia CNV20. For the $ it is the best. The unit comes from factory with a SIM card. NO need for a bluetooth cell phone or purchasing and activating a SIM just for your GPSfeatures. All the features work out of the box. Traffic feeds, Google Search, hands free Bluetooth phone & Gas updates, etc. This is a true "Plug-n-Play" product. The size, is perfect and the ease of use is great. NO need for a 100 pg users guide. If you can get your hands on one, new, buy it.
These GPS Insignia NS-CNV20 are very easy to use. It's as easy as 123 ! Make sure you charge your GPS fully. After that it's smooth sailing. This takes you right where you want to go. Last minute trips are the best, using this for an easy and easiest way to get there, how long, how many miles and of course stops alng the way are made simple with the restaurants, gas stops, avoid tolls and many other things this device is set up for.
I like the internet connectivity. It gives me realtime traffic, finds the quickest route thru our hellish So. Calif. traffic! Finds any retail establishment by proximity, city, style and gives you phone and adresss' as well as the directions to it. I bought it because I won it very cheap!
