I knew this would be a book that I would want to read, loan to friends, and have on hand to reference. Just like any book on changing your life, you can either read it for the information or digest the truth that Larry Crabb is conveying. Regardless of the condition that you may find your copy, the journey with God that Larry Crabb writes is one that is very difficult. So many people go through life lazily without thinking about the real causes and heart attitudes that influence our decisions and reactions towards our relationships. Larry Crabb writes from Christian counselors' perspective of Jesus and the Bible; if this is not close to your philosophy on life, the book will be even harder to understand. If you are a "born-again Christian," DO NOT think you are in for an easy read! I found myself rereading passages 2-3 times so I could fully understand all that was being presented. It wasn't that life was all of a sudden explained or that I had the answers, but I gained awareness of a new perspective on which to view myself and others. This is a time consuming and sometimes emotionally draining process for those that choose to follow this "inside look." Nothing happens overnight, but the changes will eventually surface and show themselves. If you are used to being in a Christian meeting of sorts and hearing the pat answers of "just pray," or "God will work it out," or "read your Bible more," to life's problems, you definitely need to read "Inside Out."Read full review
What I liked most about it was the fact that it was reasonably priced. When the book arrived it was in great condition. I could not believe how new it looked. I purchased it for my mom for Bible Study Class.
