Where is this camp anyway?
I watched this so many years ago, I forgot most of it, but for some reason, it called to me, and no place around me carried it, thank goodness for Ebay! I'm so happy I have this now, I watch it quite often. It really takes you back, to a better time, a much more pure time. I love how you can love all the characters, and do to such great acting, grow to hate one or two, and find a few irritating, like a character roller coaster. I would love to go to this camp, butt since I can't, I will watch the movie, I now own, when I get home sick for this place. Great movie!
I bought this movie after having seen that it received two thumbs up from Siskel and Ebert. I watched it the day I got it, and it is a great flick. The story centers on eight friends who reunite at a summer camp they last attended as children. Their lives are different now, and the story takes some unexpected twists and turns. However, there is none of the contrived silliness that some producers seem to think they need to make a movie funny. Relationships develop and mature and even take some of the characters where they never expected to go. Unca Lou, a central character, is the glue that binds the others together, especially when he announces he is closing the camp. The ending is unexpected and poignant and renewed my faith in the human character. Overall, a great, touching movie ... Perfect summertime camp story
The characters are engaging. The storyline is good. A group of camp alumni meet together for one last fun filled summer adventure. Beautiful scenery, very cute.

I loved this movie. It was funny and heartwarming and in some ways sad. So glad I bought it. Only drawback is it's the old letterbox format that cuts the tops of heads off!
