This was a great book about a pretty, and young slave girl that was sexually harassed from a young age, by her "owner". She decided to take her fate into her own hands and she would have done near anything to be free. To be honest I probably wouldn't have even heard about this book had it not been for an American History class I took last semester in College. Now I am glad I did read it. It was really enlightening. For all Americans of any race should read this book. It not long and is an easy read. Worth the time. Read it to your kids.
A disturbing read, but so important in our understanding of an infamous, inhumane practice that is nevertheless part of our history

I had read the book on line from our local library. Incidents in the life of a Slave Girl is a must read for those interested in the history of one of America's darkest times.
