This history of Clawson, MI is a good summary of the city's history written by Deloris Kumler. A person who was active in the Clawson Historical Society and instrumental in the formation of the Clawson History Museum. She is a good example of the type of writer that Arcadia Publishing tries to find to author their books. The photos are always limited to what the author has access to. This book follows the formula - lots of photos and the copy consists of the photo captions.

Very interesting and informative book on Clawsons history. Lots of great photos documenting the growth and changes of this little town. So greatful that Deloris Kumler took on the task of doing this book. However, there seemed to be one glaring omission...The Ambassador Roller Rink was not even mentioned in the book. It was there for many years and might still be. In such a small town, it provided great entertainment for young people.
