The graphics and sound, of course, are outdated 8-bit, but game play is what makes a game FUN! The start of the game has a random multi-dungeon level generator, so the start of each new game is never the same twice. That is a pleasure so that you don't have a "been there done that" feeling. At level 4 (the toughest level), you die. Frequently. There are more than enough things out there to end your adventure, so you can't just walk around with the Marine Corps syndrome "I am the baddest thing there is." No, you aren't! So, you carefully tiptoe around, peek around corners, size up your opponents, and carry a gift to toss to the opponent in case it is kicking your butt. And be careful about doors that suddenly light up in front of you! This game has much re-playability, and is a genuine challenge. Old 1980s graphics notwithstanding, be prepared to do the victory dance if you win!Read full review

A game from 1982, my favorite on this system. I could not find an emulator with this game on it, so I bought the original system and game. Both were really reasonable. I was beyond happy to hear the gentle snore of the dragon in his mountain, waiting to awaken and attack me. Cart works perfectly, the overlays are in good condition, considering their age. All are exactly as pictured. One of the few things from my teens I enjoyed as much now as then.

I think this is what RPGs were like in the intellivision days. You have a guy who uncovers different squares in a dungeon inside of a mountain. The differnt colored mountains signify how hard the dungeon inside is. Then you have to find keys and other things inside the dungeon. You have to kill monsters with your little sword thingy too. The object of the game is to get to the other side of the screen and beat the final dungeon... I beat the final dungeon but i dont remember what happened afterwards so i assume it wasnt anything cool. But then again.. this is an intellivision game. You cant expect much. XP -Cait-
This is another great classic adventure game from mattel. A very re-playable game, you can get lost in many dark mountain paths fighting dragons and blobs! Lots of fun! A must have!
