It works-- what else do you want?
I have a Tecumseh made air cooled outboard from the 60's. It had no spark. A check of the components left me with no other logical conclusion than the coil had failed. A test of the coil showed it-- indeed-- was the culprit. This coil was a 180' version of the original but-- a little trial and error work and an acceptable route was found for the plug wire away from the flywheel that encases the ignition system And-- it works. It works and it was half the price or less of local suppliers (who I tried to support. Not one would waiver from their 39-40+ asking price. So-- there they sit, that part on the shelf, coveting some theoretical percent of profit rather than put cash in the bank). I would have paid more-- to support them, but not twice as much-- and then some! Did I mention? It works! ... I have a Tecumseh made air cooled outboard from the 60's. It had no spark. In all fairness the coil looked like it was well made and fit perfect; I'm sure 99.9% of these work just fine, but this one didn't. I tried and tried to make engine run with this coil, I figured if it made a spark it had to be working. I pulled on that starter rope until my arm about fell off. Even tried starter fluid (which made it actually try to start). Finally put the old coil back on and engine started right up and ran fine. Turned out new ignition points fixed original problem that prompted me to buy all new ignition parts in the 1st place. I ended up putting all the old stuff back on except the points - that did the trick. If you have trouble starting an older small engine that still uses point ignition I recommend you start by installing new points - then the condenser. ... Quality product and a great price!
To make a long story short. Snow blower wouldn't start, it was determined that the coil was bad. So I ordered a new one from Russo and installed it. Snowblower starts as it did when it was new.

It really improved the starting of a otherwise cold -blooded engine. Two pulls and its running . Arrived ahead of time and a real breeze to install. Really liked the spark plug wire end. Alot better than original.
