I purchased two of these kits, both released by the same company, one a Ki-27a and the other a Ki-27b. Where to begin on this beast? Fitting is bad, large gaps, poor construction, lousy directions, and poor design. I spent 3 1/2 hours trying to get this monstrosity to fit together. Fixed one thing, something fell off. Fixed that then something else fell off or broke. I have to say, it's only the third model kit I ended up throwing away of the 35 I worked on this summer. The other two throw aways are the other Ki-27 (which joined the aforementioned heap of crap from ICM) and a Aichi Seiran (some limited release kit, the first I tried to build) I tried to put together 2 years ago. If you want to build a decent version of this plane, go with Hasegawa. I can't speak for the RS models release. If you buy it, be ready to be disappointed. Don't let the cheap price fool you either, it's not worth it!Read full review
