Who says women can't acomplish as much as a man? Espacially in the 17th century! Well, Layla and Sara proved them wrong with the courage and leadership they showed. Another great story with a history lesson in the process by Jeff Guinn. Mrs. (Layla) Claus is still in London with Aurther and Willie while Santa and Felix are off to America to spread the Christmas Spirit there. In the meantime the Purtains take over England and inforce their law of no Christmas celebration.... not for any one and not even in your own home! Layla is threatened with arrest for speaking out for Christmas and leaves London to hide out in Canterbury. She stays with a family with a shy little girl named Sara, whom Layla becomes very fond of. The history lesson is woven through out the daily lives of them. The real excitement comes in the last few chapters.... but I won't spoil that for you! A great book to read at Christmastime.... has 24 chapters... just like "The Autobiography of Santa Claus".... a chapter a day from December 1st and finish up on Christmas eve. A delight to share with the whole family! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. MERRY CHRISTMAS!Read full review
