This item allows remote on and off function of any electric circuit. 12 v DC is required to power the switch. You can switch any voltage up to 220V. As shipped it provides momentary contact when pressing the remote button. Soldering between 2 board contacts allows press on and press off toggle function. If you do not want momentary contact of your device and do not want to do a simple a solder between two marked spots on the PC board, this is not for you. Similar devices are available that allow you to switch the momentary, on-off, toggle and latch functions by simple changing of jumper on the PC board.

There are three parts to this, the transmitter, the receiver and the box the receiver goes into to protect it. Nice little box, it has holes for the input and output wires, but they don't line up in the least with the terminals on the receiver. There is absolutely zero space to run the wires through the provided holes. I have not tried out the unit, the others I purchased through a different seller are very similar, but have room to wire things up and work just fine. Look carefully at the picture provided and you can see the terminals line up with a tab to ensure the box cover is aligned. It even has a nice catch on the side. I know, your thinking just put in a couple more holes. Well, for the same (or less) money I purchased these without having to go through that. Just very poor planning on someone's part or the circuit board layout changed and they didn't bother to change the box. As you can tell, this sort of ticks me off. I'd buy again, but from a different source.Read full review

Bought for a pinewood derby "outlaw" project. Works great. Remote had battery pre-installed. I hooked up to 12V DC supply and I was ready to remote control power projects. Only issue is lack of instructions... No explanation of the "button", control mode, or max current/voltage permitted. Simple to find the specs and info on google. Works like a champ and will buy more for other mini projects... Maybe even "hot tub remote" and other cool home automation projects.

I have a solar fountain at the far end of the swimming pool and at the end of the day, the fountain needs topping off. To get to the fountain I used to climb a tall step on to a terrace with bucket in hand which gets really old after a few times. This remote lets me operate a small pump that siphons water from the swimming pool and transfers it to the water fountain as I turn the pump on and off using this very effective remote. The price is very inexpensive too.

The remote works fine but be prepared to adapt to your intended use. Soldering is required according to purpose the remote is employed. Next order will be for remote with built in mode switching and 4 channel capability. Remote works great after adapting for my intended purpose. Wouldn't advise keychain as means of carry as button is exposed to accidental activation.
