The "gold standard" of synthetic pistol grips. Best synthetic grips out there. Gives in a sure, comfortable grip, regardless of the weather conditions. Priced competitively and widely available in most gun stores. Very durable, you may find some way to break them, but you'll likely break your handgun to do it. Wood revolver grips come in a wide and varying colors sizes and qualities. But they show wear with time, they don't absorb recoil, and you find they may look pretty, but they're not comfortable in your hand. Hogue grips are nearly indestructible. I've carried Hogue on most all of my duty & hunting revolvers for over thirty years. They have performed admirably, look good, feel great, assist with control and absorb recoil. They are truly professional-grade grips with stellar performance. Read full review

Inadequate installation instructions that do NOT address the anchor system that goes into the butt of the grip. During installation the nut that fits into the anchor came loose. The only way to salvage it was to epoxy it back onto the anchor, leaving it to dry overnight. Installing the rubber grip over over the frame's butt was not easy and was a CHORE to get it on. Then, the screw provided to lock the grip into the internal anchor was too SHORT and I had to find a longer replacement.

I have long been a fan of Hogue grips, having equipped my Glocks with them and noticed immediate improvement in my shooting thanks to the increased grip area and great texture. Now I have added a set to my classic Smith & Wesson Hand Ejector, the granddaddy to the Model 10. These grips have completely transformed this handgun. My chief complaint about the Hand Ejector was, for me at least, the too-small wooden handgrips which didn't give my medium to large-sized hands enough surface area to properly grip the handgun. They look great, but didn't do it for me. Now, with the Hogue grip, I have the same experience that I had when I added these "combat" grips to my Smith 686. My hands now close around a beautifully textured, supple grip with a palmswell to properly fit my (right) grip hand, and they feel all-day comfortable. The grip also improves the trigger reach for my right index finger and provides a soft landing spot for my middle finger below it, instead of the hard metal of the frame. Having shot plenty of hard-kicking .357 Magnum loads with the 686, I know that my Ejector, made in the early 1920s, will handle .38 loads with ease. I can't say enough good things about these grips. Highly and robustly recommended!Read full review

These are great grips for a fantastic price. I purchased them for use on a k frame S&W revolver. I have small hands and can get a good grip on my revolver unlike the factory target grips which are too large. I have the same grip on my L frame S&W revolver. They also help a little with recoil. I would not use them for concealed carry as the rubber may catch on clothing. I would go with Hogue Nylon or wood grips for that application. They are quite an improvement over the stock factory wood grips especially on the older k frame revolvers. They all will work well with HKS speedloader s.

I have always used the large wood grips for my Smith revolvers. But as I've gotten older I cannot hold the wood grips as easily as I used to. I ordered the Houge grips, installed them and now my K frame Smith is easy to hang on to. I have other grips in my collection, but for all around use I like the Houge's the best.
