my old hard drive crashed this drive is better than a seagate to me segates are trash drives. not sure what i dislike about the drive cheaper than buying a new one and been formated to dod specs a new drive from a factory would cost about 35.00 to 75.00 ide for my laptops are hard to find some places
needed an identical hard drive for a Toshiba laptop and found it on eBay. The drive is only 5400 RPM, but gets the job done. The price was great at $50 for a replacement. I was up and running in three days, no hickups. The previous drive lasted 5 years, looking to get another 5 years out of this one.
The actaual model number for 80GB is IC25N080ATMR04-0. I wanted a drive I could swap into my COMPAQ Presario R3275US notebook. (Also found a cover/caddy/connector/screws package on eBay.) Other brand drive reviews mentioned vibration so I bought a used duplicate of what I have. It looks and works perfectly (and undetectably when just spinning). (As does my original one from 2004.)
A laptop I was working on tested bad hdd so I purchased this and it testes %100 A OK! Nothing bad to say! They dont even make these suckers anymore! Hard to find well working ones..
I use this hard drive to replace my old one,,it was a 5 gb,,,It boot up ok ,, and got it going at no hard time,,,I like the Hitachi hard drive,,,they do work bettery,,
