I used this to confirm my suspiciona of a dead tube on an old B&W TV from 1959. It comes with multiple connectors for different tubes. The usage instructions are printed inside the box and all arrived in mostly good order. I say that because there are two incandescent indicator bulbs and one had become unscrewed during transit. It was easy to find a modern LED replacement bulb as the entire schematics, including bill of materials and theory of operation are easily available online. My only regret is that I do not have more tubes to experiment with the unit's rejuvenation abilities. The unit works with color TVs as well and may work with more modern tubes, though modern CRTs may require a different connector. With the schematics, it should be trivial to wire up an appropriate connector for virtually any tube.Read full review

Unit arrived quickly, we’ll packed, and apparently working. I currently don’t have a CRT to try it on, but there’s little to go wrong if it powers up, which it does. I’m pleased with the purchase.

The ability to check a wider range of CRT's. Unfortunately, due to my inexperience, I bought this tester thinking it would test all CRT's from the era it was made but, it will not. If I would have known, I wouldn't have bought it.

it's a valuable vintage instrument for those dedicated to restore antique TV's.
