The light arrived a day late; but no big deal. I installed it and it worked for a short while, and then the light went out. I took it out and took it apart to find that the bulb was loosely installed. I tightened the bulb, and then it took almost 2 hours for two of us tp get the clamp to tighten and seal properly around the o ring. This is a new style, supposedly easier than the ring of screws when changing the bulb. The only way I could get it to seal properly, was to find a small plastic bucket to put the fixture on, so one of us could press down on the ring, while the other screwed the clamp. I read a previous review that said that their bulb arrived loose, and it took them a lot of time to get it back together. I would probably stick with the other brand with the old style seal.

Good value and easy replacement, but it is not for the novice. My transformer turned out to support only a max. 100w bulb, so I replaced that as well for $80.00 at my local electrical distributer. The new light now works fine. For this 300w fixture you must have a 120v to 12v transformer, ideally Intermatic.

Installation is very straight forward. Turned on the switch and nothing happened, rechecked my connections. Everything was good. I removed the fixture from the pool and opened it up. The Light Bulb was not screwed in all the way.

Good product. I replaced an old fixture and this worked perfect. I replaced the bulb and put in an LED colored bulb before I installed it into my pool.
