During the big band era of the '30's and '40's, many of the great band leaders featured smaller groups from within the band. Tommy Dorsey's "Clambake Seven" was no exception. This compilation is a CD release of an earlier LP from the RCA vaults of the group, which not only feature Dorsey's trombone, but Frank Sinatra, Sy Oliver and Edythe Wright on vocals, as well as instrumentalists Ziggy Elman, Bud Freeman and Buddy DeFranco. If you like swing, this is highly recommended.
Talent and musicianship really shine through from another era This music will stand as a reminder of the war and of better days to follow!!!!
