I can't tell toy guys how satisfying it is to chock and fire this gun. The fact that the scope disintegrated within 5 shots, the manual sights are loose, pellets are tumbling, and I can't see me hunting with this until I invest a few weekends into getting this thing together. When I can finally hit something, it should definitely get the job done. The action upon firing is gloriously violent, but smooth, and this gun can likely be handled by a corn fed young teen. Lack of.25 pellet availability has me wondering if I should've gotten the.22... There is a learning curve with shooting a rifle of this type. The weights, action, recoil etc... If this gun breaks one scope that costs $50(I wouldn't even bother with a cheaper, less durable), then I would recommend a .22 rimfire as being more cost effective Every type of pellet that you fire will have different ballistics, and potentially require re-sighting the system. I shot a tin can from 30 yards, and a tumbling pellet exploded a start shaped area appx. 2.6" in diameter. The still tumbling pellet then ricocheted off of a firm mud mound and made a peeew sound as it continued to fly away at high velocity(26grain predator). I'm sure that this system could serve as personal protection if needed, and could doubtless, easily kill a 200lb. Mammal at 50yards, snd incapacitate a similar mammal out to 100 yards.Read full review

I like Hatsan products. This has a big recoil. It's accurate. Due to pellets being larger they are difficult to seat. The shot groups are good at 25 yards.

This has been a very reliable, and enjoyable barrel break rifle. I will be buying another on on cal 177 soon. I had it for about 8 months now and it is extremely powerful.

The Scope is not a good fit to the rail and constantly would loosen up. Even using the iron sights the accuracy sucks and if ya don't constantly check the rear stock bolt (this happened to me and my brother) when ya cock it, you'll rip the whole barrel / receiver out of the stock.
