Funtastic blu-ray edition. At 10 different points during the movie, the movie pauses and you are asked a yes or no. One pathway returns you to the film, while the other sends you on a whole new direction. The first asks if Kumar should light the bong in the airplane bathroom. If you say no, then they land in Amsterdam, find the girl they are looking for plus a new one, have a fantastic time, and then the end credits roll! It adds about 20 minutes of new footage to the film. I won't elaborate any further, just to say the blu-ray edition is a must (the dvd doesn't have the extra chapters). I would give the movie 5 stars, except it bogs down a bit in the middle. But picks up when they get to Texas!
In a world gone crazy where reality TV humiliates and tears every shred of decency from human beings, both the people taking part and the mindless minions who watch countless hours of reality drivel (funny that these are the people who find films like Harold and Kumar rude, crude and offensive), and countless romantic comedies and boring Diaz and Sandler un-comedic vehicles comes the throwback that is Harold and Kumar. Well acted and well written with every cliché and grossness you can think of and then some thrown in for good measure. No group is spared the relentless assault made me smile from start to end. Watching Neil Patrick Harris as a foul mouthed stoner and the constant stereotyping of everyone from rednecks to terrorists was priceless. Let's lets hope Harold and Kumar still have some more adventures to come.Read full review
This movie is for immature audiences only. If you liked the Cheech & Chong stuff of the 70's and 80's you'll probably like this too. It has the same sort of humor. I saw it in the theatre and after seeing it, I made sure to put a note in my cell phone to score this flick on blu ray when it came out. It was that funny, for me!
I loved the 1st movie and went and saw this one in the theatres. It was so freakin hilarious, I just had to have it. Harold and Kumar get stuck trying to escape prison and have a wild journey ahead of them.
The guys that brought us Harold & Kumar have outdone themselves this second time around. They successfully poke fun at the govenment, TSA, the Department of Homeland security and George W Bush. Laughs galore. Dont miss this very funnny movie!
