Can't tell this unit from brand new. Shipped in original factory box with all accessories and a quick start manual. Full manual is downloaded from the HK Web site. Powered up and went right to work. The sound is glorious, only a few more expensive receivers (eg. Outlaw) are in the same class as this . Lot's of input options, I particularly like to option to switch a particular input between analog, coaxial or optical. Haven't tried the phono input yet. I'm using the optical input to get sound from my TV which drives a pair of grand old JBL L-112 speakers and it really makes them sing. The sound is particularly glorious from a CD played in my Pioneer DVD player, wide and deep sound stage and good tonal balance. I was shocked. Niggling little complaints: The speaker terminals feel a bit cheesy and are a little hard to use with bare wire. I prefer banana plugs, which work fine. The labels on the front panel selector buttons are very tiny and are difficult to read in low light. I'm older and have to put on my reading glasses to see them Don't waste your time with the dreck from BestBuy, latch on to one of these beauties, you won't be disappointed. BTW I'm an audiophile with a $20K sound system in the a dedicated listening room in the basement, I know what I'm hearing :-)Read full review

I bought my receiver about two years ago and now I can talk about past experience, not first impressions. Receiver still run strong and at least for now, I have no technical problems with it. Primary reason for buying was the brand name. I have had many Harman Kardon product and the most I like is how they sound. In this regard HK3770 does not disappoint. Sound is fantastic, or at least to my ears. Now about features: 1. I rarely use Bluetooth, but when I do, signal is strong, connection is stable and the sound is good. 2. FM Radio - yes, I do listen it. For just hearing the news is good enough, for listening music is not so. 3. Phono input. I tried it once, but not being a Phono guy I do not really know. I am sure, there's better phono preamps out there, but this one sounded good enough to me. 4. Digital inputs, well, here is the surprise. Digital inputs were one of big features, when I was jumping to buy it, because it has the well known Wolfsons DAC. It sounds good via Digital, but for whatever reason, oh man, it sounds much, much better, when you use analog Auxiliary input!!! It is significant difference, so much so, that I have it connected and use now just analog audio inputs and forgot about digital ones. Everything else, about design, convenience and reliability is very personal and depends of user. I would strongly recommend it.Read full review

If you are buying a receiver just for listening to music, this one is great. Will shuffle your music list on your usb device and has bass, treble and balance controls unlike other ones priced twice as high. Also connections for a tape player/recorder that is not found on other receivers.

An excellent 2 channel amp to power my Martin Logans for all inputs. Really like this unit and think it's a great value.
