For the HF through UHF communications equipment that I work on, this PC-based scope has plenty of bandwidth at 250MHz and enough features for my needs. Flexibility with setting up external triggering and RF/Demod sample port outputs for waveform monitoring of the transmitter outputs. X-Y mode for trapezoidal waveform monitoring. I use it with a Nextbook tablet/netbook running Win10. It is about the same size as an external USB 3.5" HDD which I use with the setup, as well. Very portable arrangement, with everything fitting in a briefcase, including DMM, PC-based signal generator, etc. which is extremely nice on a road trip. The software is more than sufficient for tech/repair work and the hardware performs much better than I thought was possible at this price point. Engineers doing development work would find this thing lacking for complex projects, but the convenience and performance are adequate for the simple stuff. Amateur radio folks will love it. Easy to use, simple, and with four channels at this bandwidth it is perfect for station monitoring. It does lack the advanced features of the standalone products, but at this price you get a lot for the money. Seems to be well built and is extremely lightweight and small. Since I am running it with a tablet, I use a powered USB hub which means I need either 12VDC car power or an AC outlet, but this is a minor thing for me. With a full sized laptop/notebook, you wouldn't need to do this.Read full review
