The first thing that you liked - it is a good, reliable package. After the opening got big enough, high quality made by fishfinder. This is my first fishfinder this brand. What we liked: The quality of assembly is backlit display, a number of different settings (although in practice it can be used at once) menu settings to make logical, easy to understand. Pleased and display as the geometrical dimensions (5 inches) and resolution (640 * 320). Buttons are not qualitatively backlash triggered and clearly arranged ergonomically. When used on a fishing trip no problems. The only thing that is not quite like this unit. Since I am from Russia then Fahrenheit and feet is not very convenient for me.
I am very happy with this fish finder. I mostly fish for catfish on a river and this helped me find a great fishing hole on my first time out that I never knew existed. The down imaging is nice, shows great structure detail and will occasionally show fish if they're big enough. The river I fish has a lot of spoonbill which can get quite large and they show up on the down imaging. The traditional sonar works great and I have seen a lot of fish and it has helped me understand where the fish like to hide in the river. I don't recommend a down imaging only fish finder if you're looking for fish because sonar is the only way to truly locate them. Side imaging is the best, but it's out of my price range for now. I have had no issues and have zero complaints with the 570DI and would buy one again. The price point can't be beat for what you're getting. I shopped a lot before I picked this fish finder. I was hesitant because there weren't many reviews out there, but I'm glad I took a chance. Hopefully some day I can afford a Humminbird 1198...Read full review
First time using a fishfinder. I've used the fishfinder twice at sea on skiff rentals. The suction cup seemed useless so I had rigged up my own transducer mount with 1.5" ABS pipe. The 1.5" ABS pipe fits perfectly in a scotty rod holder. With my setup I was unable to troll around and map the terrain but I was able to use both DI and sonar to find fish while drifting. The fishfinder never failed to find and identify fish (small medium large) while accurately depicting the bottom and depth of the fish as well as thermoclines. Every time I found schools of fish bites and strikes were instantaneous. If you're jigging forward of the transducer you can see you jig on the screen.
it is a awsome and easy to use unit i would recomend this fishfinder to anyone i have used in the river and the bottom imaging still is pretty good in the dirty water. it has a large enough screen to make it easy to veiw and see what is going on were in the past i have had fish finders were you need to be right on the screen to read. Hummingbird is a great company with a wide range of products and while this unit is not that expensive and in the range of most fisherman would be a idea unit to have on your boat
product was described perfect. was shipped on a timely basics, very easy to install and works perfect.
