Personally, I wanted a phone with a great processor that I could upgrade. Unfortunately, with T-Mobile, Windows 8 is the best you can expect. Having said that, as a phone with Windows 8, it is the smoothest operating phone ever. Heaven forbid there any issues with this such as water or gravity, I will probably never own another phone. In the end, we own phones for how they help us. This handles every app I need. Minus Microsoft Band, that's it. Perfect display, great camera and a three level flashlight. It does it all. Need a great, well built phone? That's the one.

I'll keep this short. I wanted to try a windows phone. what I found is that there are very few apps that work for the Windows phone base. Waze does not speak out loud. Sonos has no app. Can't find a good golf range finder app for free. And to my surprise, this particular phone can't even be upgraded to Windows 10. so much for buying something on a whim.

You can say, I'm a died in the wool, Windows user. I have tried the Android, and for awhile I used the Blackberry OS. But I've always come back to Windows. That was my first priority when I selected this phone. Second was the simplicity of using the live tiles and the ability to customize everything. I work 2 jobs, and both companies use Windows. It's so nice that everything syncs up automatically. Enough of the OS. The phone itself I feel is very durable, has good battery life, takes better pictures than most phones, and the external speakers are great. I've had this phone now for 3 months with no issues. The only negative thing I can say, it's difficult to see anything on the screen when you are outside on a sunny day (Blackberry has the best screen for that).
If you can get use to the Windows user interface and lack of android apps, you're going to love this phone. Similar in size to the Iphone5, the phone is fast, takes great pics, and has most of the major apps..Pandora, Slacker and others.
I had previously used windows phone 7 and just couldn't stand it. the homescreen (metroUI) is way too plain and there was absolutely no customization aspect. the apps were few and the overall design with the side swiping stuff was annoying as heck I bought the htc windows phone 8x to give wp another chance with their latest update. no dice. same problems. apps are getting better but still too few. I can't even browse with the ebay app. however, the hardware is fantastic. the phone felt solid in the hand and the build was absolutely stunning. if this were an android device I would be all over it.
