Looks and functions brand new. It didn’t come with an AC adapter, but I thought I had a spare one. When I used the spare, everything functioned *except* charging the laptop while it’s docked. That won’t do! Turns out, my spare was a 45w adapter. You need a 65w adapter with the right sized plug to fit the docking station. The plug is not the same size as your laptop adapter. If you do a little homework you can find the correct adapter on eBay for about $10.

You will need to buy a charger, but I was able to find one for 9.99 so I paid 33 total to have a working docking station. I use three monitors and everything else is wireless. I take up all the ports but it works just fine.

Nice unit which made it very easy for me to set up two monitors plus my laptop to telework. The AC adaptor makes it even easier since I don't have to plug the laptop into a charger. Very pleased with this product, it was carefully packaged and shipped fast. The only reason I didn't rate it sooner was due to being unable to start the telework until this work.

With changing times brings the need for a home office. The company computer uses a docking station and this one works perfectly. All the ports are functional and easily integrated with the extant monitors, wireless mouse (via dongle) and a resuscitated 21-year-old keyboard. It's one of the few things that has gone right in this new era.

If you use this docking station, you are going to be limited to 1 vga and 2 displayport video ports. If that works for you, then go for it.
