The glass on the top copier was broken. But the best part was I had a spare one. the print heads were so dried up I had to replace both. You said that it showed paper jams lucky me I had all the parts that I needed. I have worked on the HP7600 for almost 15 years. They are the best printer ever. Now the printer works as well as new.

Packing popcorn was shoved into the machine. Used old misc paper, old packing bubble that had no air in them. I was afraid of the garbage he used to pack with. It took me 2 hours to clean the machine. The door to the ink compartment was broken and the tray was cracked. Luckily I had spare parts from my old printer. This was a nightmare.

I work for a company where HP printer products are the standard product we package with the system. I personally like the fack that for most HP printers when you change the printer ink yoo're also changing the printhead at the same time; so you get a new one everytime. The cost may be somewhat higher but thats the trade off. The newer HP printers now let you continue printing even after the ink experation date unlike the older ones which stop printing until the cartridge was changed; this is largely due to a lawsuit brought against HP for forcing you to replace a perfectly good ink cartridge. The software packages are very large and sometimes difficult to load; the HP7300 series printers are the worst for this problem. The L7680 printer is a great printer but does take its time in powering on and goes into self test modes unexpectently. Overall I like HP products but do not like their software that is packaged with them.Read full review
The printer arrived on time and in excellent condition. There is a software problem that HP knows about, but hasn't fixed yet. When trying to access the feature to call up the menu to scan a picture; document; etc and check the status of the ink levels on the computer, the software keeps saying no HP devices located and shuts down. The plug and play feature doesn't recognize the printer. HP has a list of about 6 so called solutions, but requires more knowledge about computers than the average person has. This is considered a minor problem, in that the control panel on the printer allows you to call up the same information to check your printer status. I would recommend the printer even with this software problem, in that it is reliable, and has a good printing speed, and with the right XL cartridges allows a low cost per page printing.Read full review
I shopped for a new printer for a couple of weeks before I purchased this one. Finally, I found this one with the features I wanted and decided to purchase it. I'm happy to say I did because other than it being a little slow printing. (I knew the speed before hand by reading the specs.) However, a little slower speed is not as important as all the other features. I print a weekly bulletin and since I print both sides of pages, I appreciate the L7680's automatic two sided print mode. The color's? really clear and bright. I'm trying to recall what I DON'T like about this printer but cannot remember any.One must keep in mind, I've only had this printer for about a month. You're asking would I recommend and buy this printer again? Sure do and would. Hope this is helpful for prospective buyers.
