After getting the printer connected & drivers loaded it printed ok for about a day, then I got an error message saying "Out of Paper HP recommends ColorLok papers for best printing results". It wasn't out of paper. I uninstalled & reinstalled the printer & it worked ok until the next day, same thing happened, uninstalled reinstalled the printer, no good, it would not print anything because of that error message, all you can do is hit OK. I had an HP8630 before this one (2 of them in 3 years) & it performed great except the print head died on the 1st one. The HP8630 has been discontinued but there are still a few out there, I plan on getting another 8630 model.

I have purchased several of the 8100-8600 series HP printers. All use the same print head and ink cartridges. I only had one that didn't give any print head problems. After about three years I finally fixed the problem...Purchased an Epson and 3-4000 prints it is still going. Changed the ink once and still no problems. Problem solved!

Like almost everything and replaces several devices. The area that needs improvement is there is no single sheet feed and you must remove all the paper in the tray to print a label, envelope, etc. Yes you can buy a second tray--for a price.
