I had several users clamoring for an affordable portable office setup to pack and work from anywhere with WIFI. One user wanted to put everything in a motorcycle saddlebag. Printing was generally light but necessary. So I bought 6 of these, untested, removed from police cars. 5 were missing the paper feed tray (easy fix with a couple of paper clips and thin coffee straws), 1 had a bad color print head (but worked with only a black cartridge installed), and 2 had paper feed problems (but good print heads, and can use 1 to fix the printer above). To run in Windows 10, the driver has to be set up in compatibility mode, but once done, they work perfectly. Ink cartridges are cheap (less than $15 for a pair, $11 for 2 black ones), so all in all a very affordable portable office solution for someone with light printing needs on the road.Read full review

I purchased the HP 450 Deskjet printer purely for its portability. I need to run computer programs on the go, and be able to print off the results. I was hoping for a wireless system to keep things simple. As it turns out the blue-tooth connection slows down the printing so much that it makes more sense to just use a printer to USB cable. Other then that I just love it. For a battery operated small portable color printer That I can use with my netbook anywhere, it's just great. Small enough to pack in my laptop bag (with the netbook), I have a true portable office. Overall, I'm very happy, and the price I paid on e-bay can't be beat.
This is the perfect printer for space-conscious college students. It's fast, quiet, and fits in a drawer. Although most colleges have plenty of networked printers, having something in the dorm room for those cold, or rainy nights can be very nice. A solid HP printer, the cartridges have the standard 500 page life, and the install is easy.

If you need a good, reliable and portable printer for everyday printing, this is the one for you. It's not for the one who's looking to print 100 pages per minute, but it's good for the average person - print reports, e-tickets, general documents, photo's, and GREAT portability!!! Optional battery NOT included, but I found it easily thru a different eBay seller. This allows me to print without any outlet. It even uses the same ink cartridges my old (and heavy) printer used (HP #56 BK, and #57 Color).
nice printer....easy to use, transport, and a great size for mobility......I recommend buying the HP Deskjet 450 software from HP ($7.99 + small shipping fee). I tried using a download from a so called HP equivalent and wasted my time totally. I was thrilled to know that the HP software was still available 1/23/2013.
