Although rare, my PC motherboard failed. Replacing it was a much cheaper option than buying a new PC. So having replaced motherboards before doing warranty work for my job, I decided this would be a straight forward solution for my situation. The board arrived in a timely manner, and in working condition. No damage or wear was evident to me. There are a couple things to keep in mind when replacing any motherboard... One, the CPU should have the right amount of new heatsink compound applied during re-installation. And two, in some cases you may have difficulting getting Windows to activate, since a Windows license is "Not Transferable." In my case, Win 10 would not activate until I re-installed it. YMMV. I do know that there is highly guarded proprietary software for putting a secret code in the BIOS for authentication purposes. I did not have to resort to that, but I am sure the issue could arise in some scenarios.Read full review
