This game is an amazing game for anyone who loves rhythm games and music! This game allows me to play as a guitarist, bassist, singer, or drummer! I can play various roles and the various roles and accessories like the drum skin are fun to use and not too hard on the hands! If you liked Guitar Hero then you'll love Band Hero for the DS where you can take the fun with you everywhere for a great price! You can make and customize your own band to various styles and looks which is a nice touch! The game has a tutorial if you need help and practice. The songs are a pretty good mix of pop, rock, and others but still fun to play! Overall for the money, stuff, game modes, songs, and play I recommend this and give it 5 stars for Band Hero DS!

this game doesn't recognize a "simple tap" instead u have to sloppily flick the stylus to hit a note.

I love this game, but it is harder to manage with the smaller DS. The attached fingering unit is good, but can hurt your wrist after awhile, but the bigger issue is using the touch screen to strum. I would often miss notes, despite the fact that I was actually hitting them. I would also accidentally set of the star power by strumming too close to the meter. The game says that the entire DS touch screen can be tapped to strum, but that has not been my experience. Otherwise, still just as much fun to play on the DS as it is on the real system- just need to make sure you have headphones so you can actually enjoy what you're playing!
Guitar Hero: On Tour is good but not great. If this was not a smaller version of a console counterpart, I would review it higher. If you only have a DS you should buy this game. If you have any home console you should get that version instead. There is nothing inherently wrong with On Tour but it is missing that feeling of rockin' out. The controls are responsive and it sounds pretty good for the DS. The song selection is not as robust as the console counterparts. Overall I recommend this title to someone in need of a DS game or can't get enough of strumming to colored circles.
It's not guitar hero on any normal console. However, this portable Guitar Hero is still a great game! It has an awesome variety of songs, and isn't too hard to understand. The one drawback would be when you first get used to it. Wrist cramps, as well as sore fingers come along with this type of game. However, after about a week, I got used to it and didn't have to worry about my hand hurting. This game has some very great classics, and it's a great game for the DS, especially if you travel a lot!
