Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Laser Pointers
As an optical engineer and laser safety expert, I have purchased several of these to use in my consulting business. I have found them to be excellent for my needs. Based on practical experience, I am going to estimate the power level at between 100 mW and 300 mW putting it into the high powered end of the Class 3B laser category. Many lasers from outside the U.S. are sold as 5 mW when they are actually much higher (probably to avoid regulatory issues) which is a matter of concern to me but out of my control. To put this in perspective, 5 mW is about the amount of energy that will enter the pupil of the human eye when looking directly at the sun on a clear day. Looking into this laser or directing it into someone else's eye will absolutely cause retinal damage. Laser damage is insidious because you may not notice a problem at first. Just as the brain filters out the "blind spot" in the eye where the optic nerve exits the retina, the brain will filter out laser damaged areas of the retina. Having said that, when used with great care and absolutely kept away from reckless hands I think this is a fantastic laser at an amazingly low price. I often need a large amount of optical power for research applications (studying Fraunhoffer diffraction, most recently) and instrument development. This laser has been great for that. It is focusable by unscrewing the exit aperture lens slightly which is convenient for setting fire to things. Be very cautious in doing so, however, as it is easy to burn things like upholstery or desktop items inadvertently. Some of these I purchased without battery chargers and some with (I don't recall which way this one was sold) so you may need your own battery charger. I would consider any lithium ion battery a potential fire hazard and I never leave one of these batteries charging unattended. All-in-all a fantastic product if used with care.Read full review

I would definitely NOT recommend purchasing this product. It is advertised as a burning laser and it is nothing more than a pointer. The power is nothing more than you would expect from any other laser pointer from Office Depot. It is a false advertisement to say it is anything else but a pointer. The company I purchased it from has been relentless with emails (probably six messages so far) for me to review this product, so here it is!

Super bright and goes far. Comes with keys which are nice feature when kids are around. Shipped fast as well! Also does not focus into other patterns like some advertise only makes the laser stream bigger and less focused.

All the pointers worked (6) well. Very grateful to the supplier for getting them delivered on time. Ordered three more. The green laser is particularly strong and need to be more careful with it. They were used in refractive index experiments.

These things are great! For 1/10 the price and 4x the output of "professional" lasers how can you go wrong? Batteries last ridiculously long before needing to be recharged and the key switch keeps them from running down in your bag if the button is depressed.
