This book is quite startling. It's author (neurologist) recommends a diet filled with fat. He looks at diet from the standpoint of what's good for the brain. But from the cardiologist's point of view; they would be at complete odds. The book is full of great information and I found it to be quite fascinating; and even recommended it to my primary care physician. This book lets you know that no one has all the answers when it comes to diet and health.
I strongly recommend Dr. Perlmutter’s book Grain Brain. His message is clear: Stop eating foods that are flooding your bloodstream with glucose (sugar), and start eating foods that match the way human metabolism works. The book is well written, and his positions are very well supported with clinical studies. The book is a refreshing sharing of Information with no attempt to monetize it. Most of the steps are easy to do by simply making different choices at the grocery store. His ideas are contrary to conventional thinking, but he’s not alone. In a different country, Germany, Dr. Lutz came to very similar conclusions after 40 years of treating patients and wrote the book Life without Bread.

The book has great information that you can apply to your daily diet.It became very useful as I have read other books related to a better, healthier diet and applicable to daily life and I found this book and all it's information to be very helpful and convinient to me as I was tired of searching for a diet that I was actually sure was beneficial in the long run. Fortunately I found that in this great book and would definately recommment to everyone out there that is tired of trying all sorts of diets that mostly focus on "looks" alone but not necessarily the healthiest on the long run.
