I bought this MP3/CD player before having eye surgery that would require me to spend a week face-down, without reading. Watching TV was not really an option and I love reading. It came. The buttons were fairly clearly marked (even to my one functional eye) and were easy to find. I did substitute a different set of earphones at a friend's suggestion, as the earbud did not look comfortable. I also managed to find a power cord so I wouldn't have to rely on batteries; it wasn't as if I'd be moving around with it. It played audio books tirelessly for a week and although I'm now able to move around and don't have to be face-down, I'm still using it because reading is still a challenge and probably will be for another week or two. Or more. I'm not a techie. I don't buy techie toys as a rule but this has been a lifesaver. Especially in the middle of the night when I had to get up for a while because I couldn't sleep face-down for more than a couple hours at a time. I'm very pleased. How long will it last? I have no idea but I bought this because it was cheap and I figured if it lasted the week, that was all I asked. Now I hope it will keep going a good long time. Oh, the sound quality: I haven't played music on it, and I'm not a music fanatic, so maybe someone fussy would disagree, but it worked excellently for audio books.Read full review
