In 1992 Dr.J & Sleepy Dee formed GOOD MEN GONE BAD, a blues guitar duo playing in bars and clubs all over Europe. Early '94 J. Lambrecht on drums & percussion joins the band. 1995 GMGB get signed by E.L.C.H. Music and put out their first album "At Church" produced by Doug Weinberg, which received critical acclaim Summer '96 GMGB are at their peak as a trio. Bøni "The Rooster" Hahn from now on the drummer proves to be an important new member of the band. He brings his unique style to GMGB. He is the shufflemaster. A few months later B J Dayzz signs up as a bass player and GMGB becomes four. The band now start to write their own songs, developing their own unique sound. 1997 Dr.J & Sleepy Dee get together with Thomas D of Die Fantastischen Vier to write "Rückenwind" which becomes a hit single and is voted Single of the year by the listeners of the South German radio station SWR 3. In the same year Jochen Ehmann engages the band to produce the music to his animated film "Hobo". At the beginning of 98 rapper Thomas D and actor Ben Becker battle it out at the sell out concert in the Rosenau Club. GMGB get the party going and Dr.J acts as referee. The second album "Blues" is released, recorded at Doug Weinberg's "Pink Room Studios" with a combination of original tracks and classic blues. In August Good Men Gone Bad & Thomas D play at the Popkomm on the Eins Live Stage to an audience of more than 20,000. '99 saw GMGB record another soundtrack writing the music to the documentary "No Waiting" produced by Angelo D'Angelico. For a short time Homer Sebastian fills in on drums until he is awarded a scholarship by Eindhoven Music College. Winter 2001, after searching for a long time to find the right person to provide the right kind of drumming to develop further their unique style, Flo Dauner is persuadued to come on board. Flo is a very experienced drummer having played internationally with bands such as Die Fantastischen Vier and Dee Phazz, he also played in the band for Sarah Brightmann during her world wide tour. The E.L.C.H. label is closed down, GMGB keep playing concerts throughout Germany and continue to write new songs. Summer 2002 GMGB book into Bernhard Hahn's studio and start to record their third Album. Autumn/Winter 2002 GMGB get booked to do the Marlboro Desert Star Diner Tour which played in all the major cities in Germany to wide acclaim. Flo on European tour with Dee Phazz is unavailable, but Dr.J manages to hire drummer Bela Brauckmann of Berlin's Cultured Pearls and Knut Knutson joins on Bass. Knut is also a very experienced musician who toured with many bands including Theatre Of Hate and The Pogues. After a tumultuous year, that sees Dr.J and Sleepy Dee having a break from each other. Flo Dauner leaves for a world tour as drummer for Sarah Brightmann. Early 2004 marks a new start for the band with GMGB finally releasing their 3rd album "Driving Without a License". The album is the most sophisticated work produced by GMGB featuring a range of established musicians.
