These are a terrific pair of binoculars at this price point. They are bright & easy to focus - they "feel" like a much more expensive binocular. We initially picked up a pair of these for our young kids because the Cornell Ornithology Lab recommended then. I liked them so much, I bought a second pair for our cabin. We keep a pair of these in the car in case of we have a spontaneous bird-sighting opportunity, & we stuff them into a backpack to take to concerts at the performing arts center. They're also perfect for kids or for those who are not used to quickly finding an object in the field of vision & focusing in - very easy to use. For those familiar with Nikon binoculars, I would say that these are nearly as good as my Nikon Monarchs, but at a fraction of the price - and definitely much easier to use for beginners. Highly recommend.Read full review
The actual set I purchased were the Nikon Action VII 10x50, no idea why this is saying 7X35, I had to be sure that the seller really had intended to sell the 10X50's. I think there was some confusion during the initial listing of the auction. Either way, these optics are excellent. The actual model I received has a protective armor coating with the Team Realtree APG HD pattern. I'm blown away by how vivid, crisp and defined the images are displayed, but I'm assuming that's what porro-prism, fully multi-coated technology from Nikon is going to bring. At first I was afraid that I paid too much for these after seeing a brand new pair of the basic model for $30 cheaper, but after they arrived and seeing the quality in these binos firsthand, I realize what a great deal I came across, no regret whatsoever. I'm not an optics expert, so I can't give you a review that will convince you one way or the other, but I can honestly say it maintains the same brightness as you would see with the naked eye, regardless of the amount of light. Some optics tend to show a dark image, and I'm sure Nikon maintains this thru the large 50mm objective lenses. They are very easy to set up and bring to the table what I was thinking I would only get from a company like Steiner. There aren't any range indicators or compass directions...for that I would give up an extra bill...easyRead full review
I was looking for a medium size binocular with excellent optics, good reputation, ease of handling and great value for the price. The optics are very clear, crisp and bright. Always a pleasure to use and I experience delight each time I use them because of the excellent views. They feel good, no eye strain and easy to use and adjust. The best all-around binocular I use.
Before buying these I read the reviews. The rating was almost 100% positive. They deserve that rating! Very clear and sharp image makes up for the fact that they are only 7 power. It also makes it easier to acquire your target.

I have had this same brand of field glasses for years and love them for bird watching and nature exploration. I was happy to find an identical pair for my wife here. Now there will be no squabbling over who gets the good glasses!
