It's got great tone and plays easy. Not as loud as my other mandolins, but I really don't need the volume for what I'm doing, plus I can always plug it in if I want more. It's a great little second mandolin.

I already have a genuine Rigel A-plus mandolin but I fancied a GM-110 too ~ but couldn't justify the expense of another Rigel. This Gold Tone GM-110 was a great deal for me ~ second hand but hardly been played, it's as good as new. I am delighted with it. The mandolin looks good, plays well and sounds great. I haven't linked it up to an amplifier yet ~ but when I do I guess the sound will be pretty awesome. It came with a good strong hard case too. The only thing I'm not keen on is the extended fingerboard because, for me, I tend to dig a bit deep with the pick and quite often hit it. Still, I'd rather try and modify my playing a bit than give up my lovely GM-110.
